Grand Valley State Hoping to Cross Higher Threshold

The Grand Valley State Rocket League team is hoping to match up well against high tier competition at the Saints x Colleague Invitational.

Last semester the roster of Alpha23, Kalos, Cyber, and substitute Gorilla saw some decent success in the CRL Opens. Placing third in the first open, then ninth in the next three opens. The roster has remained the same, apart from long standing player for GVSU, Wheats joining as the sub in place of Kalos. The team has been tinkering with some roster combinations, as former substitute Gorilla has found himself in the starting lineup now as well, taking on a bigger role for the team. Grand Valley doesn’t necessarily get the recognition that the other attendees may get, but they are just as eager to showcase who they are as a team.

“I think we want to show an identity in our playstyle and also prove that we are still a very capable roster in the overall scheme of the scene. We know that we have a resilient mentality and would love to be able to show that as well.” - Player Wheats, on proving themselves at the event.

So, what can Grand Valley State bring in early March? They will hope to find the chemistry they need in order to knock off some tough opponents at the Saints x Colleague Rocket League Invitational.
