Defending Home Turf: The St. Clair Saints

The St. Clair Saints are hoping to seek revenge on their home turf this year after a third place finish at last year’s invitational hosted at St. Clair College.

St. Clair fell short just one year ago in the most recent invitational held on campus. Finishing with a respectable 3rd/4th placement, they lost to the eventual tournament winners Oakland University in the semi finals. While Spoods is looking forward to redemption, the addition of Vesh and Kristian could be the recipe they need in order to be successful at the Saints x Colleague Invitational in March. All of the aforementioned players have the LAN experience, as well as the ability to play deep into tournaments. This includes their historic run in the CRL World's last chance qualifier last spring. This Saints team has seen some modest success in their first semester as a core three. With the addition of their in-game coach Scholar being in person this semester the team is primed for this event, regardless of the competition they will face. 

“We are excited to have an opportunity to play in a LAN setting, especially on our home turf. We are working hard leading up to the event to showcase what we are capable of.” Says Head Coach Isabella Talotta.

St. Clair will enter the tournament as the hometown favorite, which can only benefit a team that truly feels like they can win it all. Everyone will finally get to see if they can on March 10th.
